Component of the project includes the addition of 2 X17.5 MW duel fuel engines capable of working with Natural Gas or Diesel fuel. The project Includes a complete substation and 90 KV power line to connect to the nearest national grid substation. The second phase expected to begin in March 2011, and will be completed in 12 months . the power plant expected to be commissioned and handed over in April 2013. The project is part of a continued multilateral effort to enhance the energy sector in Gabon and specifically focuses on closing the remaining gaps in the distribution networks in and around the capitol city of Libreville.
